On the night of my birthday in June 1996, I suffered every mother's worst nightmare when my son Ryan passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
Throughout the next months and years, I was somewhat comforted by the words of love and care I received from those around me. Words that mattered, words that comforted me, words that gave me some type of hope.
I was always a lover of words and cards and I felt inspired to do something with the gift that somehow seemed to be bubbling to the surface. I went from working in the corporate world to working at my kitchen table. I believed I needed to do something with the talent I had been given and that is why I started writing words – words that would help others, would comfort others, words that would show others that people truly did care.
My very first range, “The Angel Collection” debuted in 2011, “The Angels of Comfort” followed in 2013. The “Because I Care” range came to life in 2016, “An Angel’s Hug” in 2017 and “An Angel’s Prayer” in 2018. The company is now committed to growing our ranges steadily and increasingly over the next number of years.
We have had a huge amount of interest and support from our many stockists in Ireland, UK and Portugal.
As always, there is some type of inspiration behind every company that is formed. My inspiration is my son Ryan, who I feel is always looking over me, always with me and always inspiring me to find ways to help and serve others in our world. It’s interesting that when you have to deal with what life throws at you that it nearly always turns everything around and the life you thought you’d live is not the one you end up living.
Quite often, you will end up doing something completely different but that something different is a much better way of life – you end up not just doing it to help yourself but to help as many other of your fellow human beings as you can.
